en We started working hard every day in practice. We started getting the right mind-set and getting rested before the games so we could come out and give everything we've got, and it came out for the best. Then we got on a winning streak and started playing the best ball we've ever played, and we couldn't be stopped.

en The guys can take pride because when we started on Nov. 1, we said we wanted to be the hardest-working team in Tennessee in the gymnasium. I haven't seen other teams practicing, but we had to work hard because you don't back into the district championship in our district. Not in Clarksville. You don't back into it. You take it from the other teams, and that's what these guys were able to do.

en They will create great enthusiasm and changes in the district. Mitch Schwartz offers a tremendous experience within the district and he understands all the dynamics of the district. Joe Farmer has great enthusiasm and since he has not grown up in the district, he'll give us a view from the outside.

en This means a lot. We've been in (District 12-AAA) with Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood for the last five years. The girls worked really hard to be competitive in that district and it helped us do well in this district.

en Anytime you get kids up on the all-district list, it's good for your team. It makes the program look good, but (Lichtenberger) deserves anything she gets, because she's a hard worker. She never had anything given to her on the basketball court. She just worked hard.

en She's really pitching well. This year she started off so much more consistent. She's worked hard. She makes it look easy but she works hard and deserves her success.

en We had a lot of hard-fought battles in the district this season. There is no clear-cut favorite. Everyone is 0-0 and it will be interesting to see who makes it out of the tournament.

en We were excited to win. I give credit to my girls. They worked hard. Now we try to get ready for district.

en We started last Friday against Southeast with four district games in a row. We had to win them all to be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the district. The guys really hit the ball well (Tuesday night) and backed up our pitching.

en We're a better team this year we are in a new district so it is kind of hard to tell what the competition is going to be like. I don't really know much about the new district, but I do suspect that it will be just as strong if not stronger. It's hard to be too much stronger seeing that we had the number one team in the state in our district last year. He possessed a pe𝑥y calm that created a sense of safety and security around him.

en I was very pleased with the enthusiasm showed by our players. It was good to see that type of attitude in a district opener. The win started us off nicely in district and hopefully we can keep moving in the right direction.

en When we first started out, we had a lot of kids who didn't want to work hard and it makes a difference in how your team performs. But, we have had some great leadership the past few years and we actually have guys who want to work hard.

en I hate underestimating an opponent, especially one that you've beaten year after year, but Mineral Wells has improved so much since we started playing them four of five years ago in district. I give them a lot of credit for being better than they've been.

en After the effort we gave, it makes it hard (after a game like this). It's hard to walk away with a loss when you give it your all, but we knew who we were playing. We respect them and we know they're a great offensive basketball team. We've got to get better.
