Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills? / Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself? / What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us? / With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.

Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; / And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? / Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.

Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.

I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; / And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
