en And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

en And the people came to the house of God, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore; / And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel? / And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.

en And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;) / And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying, / Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

en Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.

en They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.
