Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.

But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken: / And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken: / And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.
