And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah, / And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel, / And Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah, / And Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah; / These mentioned by their names were princes in their families: and the house of their fathers increased greatly.

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah; / Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan; / Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph; / Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai; / Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam; / Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai: / Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan; / And of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi; / Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber; / Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.

Then the Levites arose, Mahath the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites: and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehalelel: and of the Gershonites; Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah: / And of the sons of Elizaphan; Shimri, and Jeiel: and of the sons of Asaph; Zechariah, and Mattaniah: / And of the sons of Heman; Jehiel, and Shimei: and of the sons of Jeduthun; Shemaiah, and Uzziel.

These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.

When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD, / Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
