Wherefore my sentence is ordtak

en Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: / But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

en For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; / That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

en As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

en For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: / That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; / Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: / That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

en It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

en Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

en But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

en Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: / And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

en Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land? / Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land? / Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

en The savage bows down to idols of wood and stone, the civilized man to idols of flesh and blood
  George Bernard Shaw

en Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? / Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? / (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

en Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

en For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings? / Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? / As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; / Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? / Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

en Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; / That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: / But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

en Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; / Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
