I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; / Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. And that there may be always such a heart in you, let me exhort all governors of families, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, often to reflect on the inestimable worth of their own souls, and the infinite ransom, even the precious blood of Jesus Christ, which has been paid down for them.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; / That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; / Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: / So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: / Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3).

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
