en Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.

en Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

en The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

en Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? / Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? / Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

en How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! / The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

en The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

en O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

en But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

en Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
