en It was a great victory for our team and for the state of Nebraska. It was a great way to close out 2005. We said before the beginning of the game, no matter what the outcome was, we were going to learn from this game and grow.

en It was a great baseball game with great pitching. One team gets a hit with runners on base and the other does not. That was the difference in the game. Nebraska had a great crowd and this was a good ballgame all the way around.

en It was a good showing for our team and it was a great atmosphere. It was a great game for everybody at home. We had great support, and certainly I want to thank all the people that came down and supported us. We were playing a very good team. We beat Delaware State. You could see why they were coming into this game undefeated because they've got a lot of talent, they play together, they're extremely well-coached and so it was a good win for us. It was a win that we desperately needed.

en I remember the buzz around the state throughout two-a-days in the summer. During the game, I remember how hot it was and how raucous the crowd was. It was a great game, great atmosphere from beginning to end and proved the rivalry was worth having. We've been looking forward to this for a long time.

en I think we're now beginning to become a team. I don't think we're a team yet but we're getting very close to it. We start off at the beginning of preseason a new group of guys, then I look at every game, we should become more and more of a unit ... we always say that every game were going to improve a little bit every game.

en This was a big win for us, in a pressure situation, against a quality opponent. Breckenridge has won many tournaments, and we haven't. We stepped up, and played well enough to win. I told them, 'Beating a great team in a great arena, is a great victory. We're playing a great team. This is a great arena, and this is going to be a great victory.' And that's all I said.

en It feels great. It's every team's dream to be in the championship game. What a great game tonight was. It was a battle for 40 minutes ... and it's too bad somebody has to lose a game like this. But we're excited to be able to play for a state championship.

Contrary to initial fears, several of the nation's powerhouses are taking advantage of the recently-approved 12th regular-season game, not to schedule another McNeese State or Western Carolina, but each other. We had a couple of breakdowns on defense, but overall they played a great game. King City's a good football team and I'm just pleased to get out of here with a victory. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. en As a group, I don't think it was our best effort. It is always tough to tie. It was a very exciting game and both teams could have won it. Our first-half performance was a level down and it affected the outcome of the game. We need to learn from that. We definitely came back in the second half and played with a lot more energy. It was a great battle.

en Whether it is big, important, another game or not, I don't know. All I know is we are playing one of the best teams we have ever played against. Ohio State is an outstanding football team. They are extremely well-coached. There isn't a facet of their game that isn't really good. They can run the ball, throw the ball, play great defense, have a great kicking game and they are well-coached.

en Well, I know that wasn't a pretty game, but that was a great college basketball game. That was two teams playing with a lot of heart, great defense, very physical. I really give a lot of credit to the BC team, their ability to execute. They were a great team.We are very, very fortunate and proud to beat that team.

en I think our team played great -- a great team game. We're back to where we were at the beginning of the season. We're not turning the puck over like we had been, and we're doing the little things you need to do to win games. We were rewarded for our hard work.

en It's always different than when you see them in a drill, but I hear he's doing a great job. I know the game in Japan is a little different than it is here. But what's great about this game is that it's universal. It doesn't matter which side of the ocean you're on, it's the same game.

en We're not great and I've never said we are. But if we play hard and our seniors are great leaders, we can be pretty good. We've won 21 games. It still comes down to the Penn State game. If we win that game, we're (a half-game out of) first place in the Big Ten.
