en We felt that was the way we had to play them. That's how we got back in the game at Kansas, playing a switching man, and that made them believe this is a good way to play.

en It's pretty frustrating. After we lost to Miami, we knew we had to win the last three games. We felt like we had a good shot at doing it. We had to play three good games, Colts, Kansas City and then Denver. We didn't expect to lose. But when you play good teams you have to play consistent football.

en I stepped back from being out front to playing bass. So we started switching: I'd play bass on one song, we'd switch on the next song; I'd play piano... we'd play mandolin.

en I'm definitely a Dallas fan this week. They do have something to play for, they do have a good team and they're playing at home. The problem is that Kansas City has a little more to play for.

en Lake Wales is a tremendous defensive squad. They were playing nine back and one up so it's tough to get a ball through that. It was a good battle. I felt it was going to be a one goal game either way and we were fortunate to get the bounce and put it in. Whoever you play at this stage of the season is going to be good so I expect every game to be close from here on out.

en It felt really good to play two games how we know we can play, back-to-back. One of our weaknesses has been keeping our focus over the course of the game.

en That was not a good play and that's one bad play in the game. I felt like there was a call that could have been made but those guys [officials] did a good job.

en He's going to be a steal for somebody. I fully expect him to be an early offer type player. He's already getting plenty of attention from all of the local teams ? Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and others are already all over him. But I think he's good enough to play for almost anybody that can use a back in his mold.

en We were up three and we should never give up a (3-pointer). That was my fault. We were switching and Paul made a good play and got me in the air and made the three.

en Then the other thing is that Wes has been playing so hard. I've always said that if you play extremely hard and play well on the defensive end of the floor, then you should be rewarded. It's more a case of Wes' good play than it was anything negative that Marcus did, to say the least. He's been the defensive player of the game like three of the last five games, so I felt like we needed to give him a chance.

en We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

en It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

en I thought Raja Bell did a good job of playing Rip a different way every time. You got a guy that can score off screens like Rip, you can't do the same thing every time. He'll pick you apart. They did a good job of switching things up. It kind of confused Rip for a minute. I think when he went and sat down and saw how he was playing defense, when he went back in there, he made some adjustments.

en I do have the itch (to play), just a different one. It's not about the money and I would walk away from a lot of it. It's about winning football games. I want to come back and win. . . . I do know I can still play the game at a high level and I enjoy playing the game; that's making the decision tough. But you're only as good as the team around you.

en Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. Not only are they so good talent-wise, they're so good in every phase of the game. You come in here and play them, you know they're not going to beat themselves. They're going to play the game hard and they're going to play the game right. If you sit back and wait for them to make mistakes so you can win a game, you're going to be in trouble.
