en For some reason, I feel more confident. I felt good running tests and just feel good. I don't feel threatened by older or younger players.

en For me, I started thinking about next year there in the fourth. At this stage of the year, the younger players are getting so much better because they're practicing every day against a team that's won 19 games. That's a wonderful thing to be around. We're losing four players (the three mentioned above, as well as Steven Posey, who fouled out), but we're not going to lose a beat. We won't allow it to happen. The younger kids have to be ready to step in.

en We were a lot looser, No. 1 because we weren't expected to win. Having a lot of younger players loosens you up. I don't want to compare Terry to John. Terry built the foundation. en People come here to simply try and do well at whatever level they are capable of doing. It helps the younger kids get older and wiser. It helps the older guys feel younger.

en You can't say enough about the older guys on the field, helping us fit in. You talk to any freshman. We feel like a part of the team and that's all because the older players are making us feel comfortable.

en Both are quality kids and they fit well with the rest of our guys. That's the first thing. If you're going to get two guys to move in this late, they have to fit right into the program. They both stepped right in and that's been no problem. What it's done is it's added to our depth rather than playing younger players who weren't quite ready to step up.

en This is the last time I will get to play with this group of players. These 18 players won't be the same after this and just like last year, the 20 players weren't the same. Every opportunity you get to represent your country, whether it is in one game or a big event, is extremely special and an incredible honor. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. This tournament is no different. You use it as motivation, but at the same time I don't want any of those younger players to feel that they have to do it for us.
