en We are preparing for a strike notice (today).

en They're spending an awful lot of energy preparing the membership for a strike that we wish was being put into mediation to avoid a strike. We're sorry our employees have been put in such a gut-wrenching position.

en Our strike notice clearly stated that we will be on strike unless there is a tentative agreement in place by April 26. Our members want a settlement. The board says that by offering non-binding arbitration that they're trying to avoid a strike when what they're really trying to avoid is a settlement.

en I thought Angelo did well considering he was thrown in there with no notice. The one thing about being a backup is you have to prepare like you're about to play. He does a great job of preparing, and (linebackers coach) Don Blackmon does a great job of preparing the backups like starters.

en We are waiting for Boeing's formal notice regarding the strike and whether the strike will delay the deliveries. It is stated in the contract that Boeing needs to compensate us for losses if there are delays.
