en We played great defense tonight, which has been our strength the whole season. We get into passing lanes and pressure the point guard to force turnovers and deflect passes.

en They have a good defense. They force a lot of turnovers by overplaying and getting in the passing lanes. We had our chances, but we just didn't take advantage.

en We played good man defense and the players got out into the passing lanes which caused some turnovers we converted into easy baskets.

en We went back to the basic things, try to cause some turnovers. They've always seemed to have trouble with (the trap defense). We're just so tall and so long, if we can keep our hands up and in the passing lanes we can create turnovers.

en He fits with us defensively and he plays great defense. He has long arms. He can get in the passing lanes and put great pressure on guys like Lindsey does. And he can shoot the ball very well. That's just added depth at that position -- something that we need.

en We mostly get turnovers just from playing solid defense, getting into the passing lanes and not letting them penetrate to the hole.

en You look at the stat sheet and see we had 27 turnovers, I don't think there's anything else I can point to. They're long and they really got out in the passing lanes, and we didn't react to it very well.

en The defense was great. The coaches gave us great preparation. Adam (Boone) did a great job knocking down the point guard for their team. The big men did a great job of rotating on the wings when they went baseline to get charges and create turnovers.

en Our guys did a tremendous job on the defensive end of the floor. We're a team that applies a lot of pressure and tries to use our defense to jump-start our offense. We were able to force some turnovers and turn them into transition points tonight.

en The first time we played them we had four guys score and tonight I'm not sure if we had any more than that. And we've struggled with turnovers all year. Even in games we've won we've struggled with turnovers. We are not great at handling pressure. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured.

en We thought we could really deny passing lanes tonight and our kids did, and that was something we really exploited right from the get-go. That was set up by [Paulus'] pressure on the ball.

en They were putting a lot of pressure on Ian and he made some bad passes, but overall he played about as well as he's played all season. Ian was more of a factor tonight because there was a conscious effort on our part to make him more of a factor.

en We've really been stressing denying wing perimeter passes and getting out into passing lanes. Peter [Barrows] and Brendan Rafferty are doing a much better job on that, so that leaves Hansen and Pierson to play the post defense.

en It's a philosophy we have. We have athletic guards as well as post players, so we get up in the passing lanes, put a lot of pressure on them. We focus on defense and they buy into it.

en Coquille jumped out to an 11-2 lead then we outscored them 26-8 the rest of the first half. It was our most consistent game of the year. This was our best shooting game of the season by far. Dinah played great at point guard for us tonight.
