We didn't feel (his tactics) were necessary, but you were scared to go out. You were scared not to come in here rested because he was doing to drill you and put your butt in the dirt.

en When she was a freshman, Joy was doing all the wrong things and wasn't involved in anything. She was headed down the wrong path. I grabbed her in the middle of her freshman year and told her she needed to play basketball. Since then, it's been a complete turnaround. She didn't start playing basketball until the second semester of her sophomore year, but she's been doing all the right things since then.

en It was an embarrassing performance. We didn't come out, we didn't play hard, we didn't give this team any respect and we got our butts kicked in the process. You can't play one half of basketball and expect to win a basketball game.

en A lot of it has to do with being better organized and asking people to get more involved. This plan isn't heavily based on funding initiatives. It's a lot of things that can be done on the local level.

en My dad was a champion redneck, liked to drink, chase women, fight, and do all those things that rednecks like. en The campus and the community are both heavily involved in the parade and there are some pretty influential people who have been known to come out for the parade. I've heard that Sen. Jim Talent will be at the parade this year. The parade draws a lot more attention than people give it credit for. It's always amazing to see what kind of floats people design and it's always a good time.

en It's an All-Star game. There's not going to be any set plays. It's kind of a time for them to have fun. As a coach, my advice to them is share the basketball. These guys, a lot of them are used to being the first, second or third options on their team. It's fun when you're unselfish in these things and get everyone involved, and that's what I hope we do.
