en I know what I am. I've been through the loss in ?95 ... I go to a couple games a year. I love it.

en I don't feel terrible about the performance, but a loss is a loss. A year ago, maybe a couple of years ago, that would've been okay, but no longer.

en We've worked hard and stayed incredibly upbeat despite what we've been through this year. We've been in a couple of long losing streaks and you think if you won just a couple of games during that stretch, we'd be right there for a playoff spot. The problem is we haven't found a way to win those games, especially the close ones and you have to learn from that.

en It's our Super Bowl. Love it, love it. It's one thing if you're playing a couple mediocre teams, but when these big games come around, you definitely got to get up for them. You got Vitale in the building. It don't get no bigger than that.

en Say you have this stock that has a $10,000 short-term loss and you're in a position where you already have a net loss for greater than $3,000. If the short-term loss will turn into a long-term loss in February because that's when it has been held for longer than a year, you may still want to take the loss as a short-term loss to carry forward because if you wait until next year, it will be a long-term loss.

en It'll be a big loss and that's going to hurt us because he adjusts a lot of (shots) in the game. Hopefully, it's just a couple of games or whatever and he'll come back and be with us.

en A lot of things out of our control, that was our message to the guys. We had opportunities all year. ... You've got to just deal with loss and get stronger for it. en I told the team that this was one of the best things that could have happened to us in the spring. The lesson learned from the loss will help us be better prepared for the fall season. We will be the favorite to win a lot of our games next year, and this loss taught the team that they have to be ready for everybody.

en With these new facilities, the key is how they look after three or four years. This place gets better every year. With their input and ours, we tweak things every year. It makes it easy to get 'B' games. People love coming here and playing 'B' games because we have the best 'B' game facility in baseball.

en This year has been a struggle for us, the way we are winning games. Nothing comes easy. We may have had one more loss at this point last year when we won the state title, but it was completely different.

en There were a lot of good things from an offensive standpoint that we did. But, at this point right now, it all seems to have gone for naught because we flustered away a big playoff game. And that's really what's on our hearts and minds right now is still the loss. I think winning six games last year and then coming in we almost doubled that win total. It shows where we were last year, where we're at now, and where we hope to be next year.
