We have assembled a team of jurors that reflects both the quality of the competition and our commitment to the arts community. They bring a level of skill, talent, and professionalism that ensures the Hunting Art Prize maintains its tradition of excellence.

This is a great achievement for our team and I am very proud of them. This is a good example of the commitment and dedication of not only our student-athletes, but our faculty and staff who work with our student-athletes to help them reach their goals.

This is truly a historic opportunity for all facets of the horse-racing industry. Never before has there been a program of this kind in the United States. This academy will allow jockeys -- and eventually all those interested in the horse-racing industry -- to develop career pathways that will allow them to reach training and educational goals they never knew were possible.

I noticed it traveling with our team. We?re the only team that has coaches from three other countries and athletes that are all different in terms of our diversity. Look at our team as a whole. It is the United States. . . . It?s a melting pot.

When I first came here, the wheelchair racing program was really in its fledgling stages, but by the time I left, we were a strong team with athletes from around the country and had begun to receive more support from the university. I continue to hear of both the success and struggles of the team and it makes me miss having such a strong community of athletes with disabilities all in one place.

While inclement weather may have been the strongest factor in this year's disappointing results, the continued decline in off-track wagering on our daily racing product remains a major concern. Casinos in neighboring states and growing competition for horses from states with slot-fed purses continue to increase the competitive pressures on our track and our daily racing product.

It's a thrill to be associated with the United States Coast Guard. Their long and rich tradition matches perfectly with the history at RCR. This season, I am not only racing for RCR but also for the Coast Guard men and women who keep America safe. I think this relationship will lead to great success both on and off the track for everyone involved.

Bobby Jones is a great addition to our program. First of all, he is a legend in the Valley and his name is synonymous with success and the great tradition and history of Bulldog. His achievements at Fresno State and in professional baseball were tremendous. Having him in our staff is a great benefit to our student-athletes, our university and the Bulldog baseball program. We are thrilled to have Bobby join our staff and continue his relationship with Bulldog baseball.

I want to go pro right out of high school, ... I want to get on a big team, like Team Mobile, and travel around the United States racing.
