en If you're not a one or two seed, the difference between the teams is minimal.

en If we go in as the No. 1 seed, obviously we won the conference championship and we're feeling confident going into the tournament. Even if we go in as the No. 2 seed, we're fine with that. We're comfortable with that spot. One seed or two seed doesn't make a difference to us. We just need to go out and play our game.

en We've gone in as a No. 3 and a No. 4 since I started coaching here. It's nice to be the higher seed, but I think that's a bit neutralized because we're in the 5A tourney. I think a 5A No. 4 seed might be like a 4A No. 2 seed. We'll be playing deeper teams, bigger teams.

en I don't think that there's going to be an intimidation factor. They're [a] second seed. They aren't first seed and I think that makes a difference to us that they aren't one of the top four teams in the country.

en Seeding is important. If you get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed, you make things much easier on yourself. That's really what you work for all season. At the same time, what bracket you're in a makes a difference, too. I'd rather be a No. 3 seed and get an easier bracket than a No. 1 seed with a tough bracket. But if they want to give us a No. 1 seed I won't argue.

en When you're a 12 seed, you're usually playing against a team (in the first round) that's just outside of the top 25. That makes a big difference. A lot of the teams out of the top 25 are so similar, and in the tournament, anything can happen.

en There was no guarantee that even if we took every limb away. There was absolutely very minimal, minimal, minimal chance of him a surviving; and, B, if he did survive, what state?

en I feel like right now a number has nothing to do with it. A No. 1 seed? A No. 13 seed? We're all just one of the elite 16 teams right now, you know? Any team can win. Ain't nobody a lock to win.

en We were the sixth seed and lost to the third seed. DePaul is one of the best 15 teams in the nation, and we aren't, but we are one of the best 64. I believe that will all my heart. If we don't get in, that will set me back years.

en I think we deserved the eight seed. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself. If you look at the records and the teams, we are where we should be. We possibly could have been a six [seed], but I'm fine that we were an eight.

en The year before I got there, KU was in the final four. At that time there were only 32 teams in the tournament. So you had to be one of the best to get in. It wasn't like today where the no. 1 seed plays a 16 seed that barely had a .500 season.

en After watching them play so well against Ohio State, we're not any more excited (to play a lower seed). Whether we're playing a No. 8 seed or a No. 1, it doesn't make a difference.

en The opening round is a wonderful thing for two teams to battle it out to take on a one seed. I was a little confused. I thought we had a better strength of schedule and better quality wins than Southern and should have had their 16 seed.

en It doesn't make any difference. We're going to have to play a good team, and that's what it is. Last year, we won our league, and we were a 12th seed. We'll probably get another 12th seed. I'm just telling you. You're asking me a question that I don't have an answer for, so all I can do is guess.

en It's going to be a big game, a fun game. That's about all it is. But there's a big difference in being the first seed and the fourth seed. All we can do is go for it. Even if we should lose, there's a lot of basketball to be played.
