You forget two years ago that Xavier and St. Joe's were in the Elite Eight. That's as good a year as Conference USA had in 10 years. I don't really buy the argument that it's a lesser league. Because of that, I didn't see any danger to our guys of being overconfident.

They have a good team. I think they're going to do well in league this year. We're 4-0 and I can't remember the last time we were 4-0. I think every year we say it's anyone's league but this year it's truly anyone's to win because as of right now, the teams we've seen don't have a big hitter.

The first year I was here we didn't know what to expect, and we struggled. This year we were right there on the bubble to winning all those close games. I think next year will be the actual turnaround.

There's not another relief pitcher out there who has done what Trevor has done, consistently, year in and year out. In my opinion, he has been the best closer over the last decade. He should, therefore, be compensated as being the elite of the elite.
