en We're spoiled with the crowds we get here. We can't blame the crowd for us being dull, because we didn't give them much to get excited about. But I expected it. It was a sandwich game.

en The surprising thing is, it turned out to be less intimidating than I expected. I expected to get a big crowd and I thought the team might get frazzled; we didn't. I expected Stanford to come out and just dominate us; they didn't. As far as pressure goes, it was less than I expected.

en As a coach you don't like the switch routine, flip the light switch off and on. Fortunately, we're able to do that. One of the things that was interesting tonight was we didn't create the electricity for (the crowd) to be here where they are hungry and excited to be a part of it. The players have to do something to make the crowd excited.

You call that dull?

en We're not going to give the game to the Clemson crowd. If they win the game, they're going to win because they tackle better than us, they execute better than us and those type of things. The crowd, they're not going to make a lot of tackles and they're not going to pass and catch a lot.

en I didn't expect it. All these great athletes and for a girl from (Colorado) Springs to get it, nobody expected it. I was excited when they said that after the game.

en They've got the best home-court advantage in the league. It isn't the biggest crowd, but it's the most vocal, the best at influencing the game, the calls, the opponent, everything that good crowds do.

en I've never heard kids blame other kids to their faces on-stage. I've never heard people give the judges a mouthful and say 'I'm quitting the show.' Everybody has more attitude this season. I've never seen people as willing to (be harsh to) others as this crowd. Before, we've said to them 'You want to win. You want to get rid of other people' and they've said 'No, we all love each other.' Well, not this crowd... Thank God there weren't any sharp instruments.
