It went more smoothly than it did last year. We had a year to learn the routines of the building, the entrances and exits. It was less hectic than last year because parts of the building had been closed off last year.

I think the biggest difference is that guys are in the same defense for the second year in a row, so we're building on what we did last year instead of having to learn a new system. Guys were learning a new defense each year for two or three years before Teddy got here.

Kevin is a versatile player who gives us options because of his ability to play safety or cornerback. Last year was his first year with safety as his primary position, and I expect him to take giant steps this year, building on the year's experience he had.

I am just building off what I did last year. I am trying to improve little by little. They [Fairview Baptist Church] have leased it to us. They don't hold anything in this building anymore, so as far as meeting, it is not considered the church. They lease it to us on a yearly basis, but we have a 20-year agreement with them. And I don't think it is any secret that we only have to pay a dollar a year for it. So it's really cost effective for us. It helps keep the cost of education down.

We all know that we're up in the rarified air as far as price. But I think people realize now that we're not making this up. It's a real budget, not a shell game. The community has said it wants a 50-year building, not a 27-year building. Well, if you really want it, here's the price tag.

It's probably not our strongest year ever, but it's above average. Hopefully it's building momentum for another great year next year.
