en I don't want to be a star. If you have to label me anything, I'm an actor - I guess. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. A journeyman actor. I think 'star' is what you call actors who can't act.

en My mother told me I was begging her to be an actor when I was four. My father and my grandfather saw at least one or two movies a week; they were film buffs, so I guess it just rubbed off on me. And now it's kind of become a way of life for me.

en Oh, I guess it's selfishness. I can make a movie when I want to. I don't need to work as a hired actor. I produce, I write, I direct. I guess I like it.

en I guess it's something that has kind of developed, ... By the time the game starts, coach Reggie and I have studied the opponent so much I know the percentages of what a team will do on third down or second down or out of a certain formation. When you look at football scientifically and probabilities you can guess right. And sometimes it's just common sense. When they've got three or four guys over here and one over there, you can guess the ball is going over there.

en We pretty much go with the flow. Even if everything moves right, my guess is that we don't have a firm deal with the city in place until the end of March, beginning of April. It'll take 60 to 90 days to bring the sale to closure. My guess is the All-Star break [for a new owner], and that's a best-case scenario. And a new owner's not going to come in here at the All-Star break and say, 'OK, I want that GM out of here.

en I did try to get a few of those teen high-school movies, but they just didn't like me. I guess I wasn't a certain type.

en It's bittersweet. The last time I was in an all-star game, I was in Grade 11 or 12 in high school. That was a lot of fun. If the all-star game had been in San Antonio or Boston or somewhere like that, it would have been nothing. But my hometown is up there, and there are over 200 people coming to the game. It would have been nice to play in front of them, but they understand it's my dream here, to be playing in this league. It's just too bad, I guess.

en I think that, unfortunately, we live in the show-biz world where you're not seen as a movie star until you're in a big hit movie. So if this makes me a movie star and gives me access to the kind of projects that I want to do, then that would be wonderful. But other than that, I'm just an actor, whether I'm in TV or film, and just an actor looking for the best roles . . .

en It was so wild and free, and it looked like so much fun to do that kind of comedy. So I guess that movie was really my introduction to the performing arts, and now I'm an actor, writer and producer.
