Times were simpler, defenses didn't move as fast, and the quarterback was often the best athlete. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. Now he's being chased by the best athletes.

He's not an athlete playing quarterback. He's a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete. He reads defenses as well as any quarterback in the country. You never hear about that part of his game.

I think J.C. brings a different poise than you see from the average quarterback. A lot of them are great athletes, so they can scramble a lot, but J.C. has that knack and is the guy that likes to stay in the pocket and kill defenses.

[Quarterback Jack McBride, Chris'cousin, struggled at times against Pequannock but is improving on a daily basis.] He has really solidified himself at quarterback, ... He made a couple of blunders, but he showed leadership ability and is a tremendous athlete and will only get better.
