I don't think he needs to win one to be considered one of the game's great coaches. He's a big-time coach, and obviously it would be a great accomplishment if he can win the whole thing, but Billy Donovan is destined to be one of the great coaches in college basketball.

I'm very excited for them. What (coach) Billy (Donovan) has done is remarkable. Two Final Four appearances in six years? That's a great accomplishment.

He's been raised around basketball since he was conceived. That was one thing that went into the whole recruiting process with Billy Houston and I coming in. He's had great success like a lot of other coaches, and whatever God has planned for Coach Marshall, that's what's going to happen in the end. It's definitely been a hot topic every year after the season.

Cricket is just following the same trend as football and rugby. You do see world-class players becoming world-class coaches because they have all that first-hand knowledge. But then there are other coaches who have spent less time playing and more developing interpersonal skills. The saying goes that good coaches coach technique, great ones coach people.

I was honored to be named Coach of the Year. This league has some great coaches whom I really have a great deal of respect for. It is nice to have your peers honor you in that manner. However, the honor really belongs to the team. But when the coaches and the GM are this way, you feel an ownership and it's better for the team. You give more.

Reaching 500 games is a great accomplishment. That's a lot of games for any coach. She's a great example of stability in our women's basketball program and it has translated to success on the floor. Carla has been a great representative of Weber State as a player and coach for more than 25 years.

He's been a great coach for a long time, and the only thing that's been missing on his resume is a championship and now he has that championship. And now I think you really have to consider him one of the best coaches in the game.
