en I'm sure you know that the public sentiment toward this City Council is growing colder by the day. The feeling is that you many times go out of your way to alienate the very people whom you were elected to represent.

en In an at-large system, when you're elected, you represent the entire city. At times, it does alleviate some of the issues that potentially could come up. For example, you vote for my thing, and I'll vote for your thing. When you represent everybody, that doesn't become an issue.
