Faster communication and faster service is essential to meeting our customers' needs. With our real-time vehicle tracking and communication system, we can actually see the location of each of our vehicles on a computerized map. Our dispatchers and our employees can send and receive messages through the communication system.

Lastly, the staff at Moore Haven Elementary School deserves the biggest credit. The staff had to pack up all their teaching materials, personal materials and school district materials at the end of the school year last year to be moved from the 64,000 plus square-foot facility, then they have come back on their own time to unpack all those materials and get their rooms back in order.

For any company that has a few IT people and more than 50 or 100 computers, it isn't that overwhelming to install and manage SMS. And if you're real small, you're probably just going to install automatic updates.

There's 15 of us right now that have started to organize the group. This has all been pretty quick. It's going really, really fast. Communication is going to play a key part in this community-building in our organization.

It's kind of six of one, a half dozen of the other. Storage vendors are always going to advertise that their products will take the load off the server. Server vendors are going to say they'll take the load off your storage -- frankly, I'd be disappointed in a server vendor like IBM that didn't try to leverage its servers.

We made a call that the integration challenge of trying to bring together a new operating system with a new presentation system, file system, user interface, communication system and have all those things be co-dependent was not good. [We took a] time out and decided on a different cycle,

We've leveraged off lessons learned on power and cooling from the blade server world and combined that with our blade technology and we're able to actually install drives as a blade as opposed to a top-load, pulling boxes out, etc.. The front-load concept is revolutionary.
