Before the game I ordtak

en Before the game, I asked the kids to play intelligent, and they didn't. I guess they were a little too hyper. At halftime, I asked them to put together a good half, and they didn't. Once the fourth quarter came, I was just hoping it would finally click in.

en We just gave them a few basic instructions and they didn't really do what I asked them to do. I asked them at halftime, they play a very compact game and they like to start everything in the middle and work their way out, so I asked our guys at halftime to start playing the ball wider and over the top of their last offender and they just didn't do it as much as they should have.

en Our kids showed a lot of character. Things weren't going right in the first half. They decided at halftime that we were going to get back into this game. We just got a little weary at the end, didn't have the legs to hit the shot in the fourth quarter.

en We just lost our intensity in the fourth quarter. It was our fault, no excuses. We can't let the little things bother us, and that's what happened tonight. We did a good job of keeping them in front of us the first half, but we just didn't play good enough defense in the fourth quarter.

en For whatever the reason, the third quarter has been our quarter this year. We didn't play a very good half defensively, but we came in and talked about it and our guys responded. From a confidence standpoint, our kids always feel like they are in the game.

en We asked the kids at halftime what kind of attainable goal we wanted to set, because we didn't want this turning into a massive blowout. And we decided we wanted to just try and outscore them in one quarter, which was something we haven't been able to do in 10 quarters to that point. And at 20-17, we did that. It's not a big thing, but it's a start.

en They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

en We took the ball to the hole; we just didn't make the shots. We didn't play good defense in the fourth quarter. And if we make half of the free throws we missed, we only lose by one.

en We didn't play to our potential. In the second half we lost our shape and didn't do what the manager asked us to do.

en We had a real good first half and we were hoping to try to keep it close going into the fourth quarter. It seems like when we'd get close, we'd start missing a few and they just didn't stop making them.

en I asked him about it when we were together a couple of weeks ago. He's always been apprehensive, having been a bridesmaid all these years. He really didn't want to tip his hand. But I asked him, 'Harry, how would you feel if they finally came to their senses and elected you?' He said it would be one of the proudest days of his life.
