At Illinois, everybody got the same thing. Michigan got the same thing you had. Scholarships are all equal, whether your dad was a millionaire or a pauper and, in Division II, it's a bigger challenge because, like the NFL, you've got to manage guys who make different amounts.

en The annual auction is the only fundraiser we have. Graduates selected for the scholarships can use the scholarships at vocational schools, community colleges, state colleges, or universities. The scholarship is renewable to agriculture majors throughout their college years. Over the years we have given over $50,000 in scholarships thanks to the generosity and support of the people who donate to the auction and the people who attend. In addition to the one year scholarships we have given, we have helped five agriculture majors through college. The bottom line is all about helping the kids.

en [Going to Division II would be costly, Moore said. The NAIA limit on football scholarships is 24, Moore said, while it's 36 the Division II level. en It's very, very difficult to win a college basketball game, and this is a perfect example. There's no sure thing. Non-Division I teams are beating teams a lot more experienced than us. I'm just grateful that we survived. And we did a little better than survive. Down the stretch, we played with poise and were able to get the win.

en Last year we gave six scholarships of $1,000 each. This year we would like to give four scholarships of two grand each. We decided to increase the amount given per student to help more with the cost of college such as books and enrollment fees.

But, if you look, our record in our division is not that good. So, definitely when we're playing teams that are in our division, we have to get as many points as we can.

en I feel like I have nothing to lose, so I'm going to go out and try to put on a show, ... I feel like I'm in a position to do some great things. I ran track in my past, so I know I'm fast. Everybody talks about this being a slow track [at the RCA Dome]. But I know if you're a fast person, you're going to put a fast time on.
