Ryan really came into ordtak

Ryan really came into his own and made great strides last season. We were expecting even bigger things this year and so far, he's delivered.

Everyone's really made a strong effort to get better individually, and they're all learning what it takes to succeed at this level. We've made great strides from the beginning of the season, and I'm hoping these kids will use this year's experience and carry it on over into next year and future years.

We did a lot of good things tonight. We've improved an awful lot since the first game of the season. We've got a long way to go still, but we made strides tonight and we've made strides the last three or four weeks.

From what I hear from people, Ryan has done some great things in this outfield the past couple season. He struggled through some injuries last season but is fully healed and ready to go this year.

He's done everything I thought he would do at this point. He's extremely fast. He's made great strides at getting stronger and bigger.

Kenyatta started every game last year and helped us make the playoffs. We made great strides on offense last season and it was our goal to keep everyone on board so that we could continue that improvement.

I think he's having an outstanding season. He came back to Barton a lot better basketball player. He had a good year for us last year, but, now, he's having a great year. He's making great strides, and it's showing.

Knoxville brought a tough team to town last night and we wrestled the best we could under the circumstances. There were some very high points for us and we made some big strides in a few weight classes. A few of our boys still need to learn better position and mat sense, but that comes with time. Time is running short for this year, but I believe we are seeing things at this stage of the season that were not here last year. I think Manny is obviously a huge part of this club. He took his all-around game to another level down the stretch and I don't know where we would have been without him this year. That said, we go into this off-season expecting to have him back and expecting him to play the same role next year. Occasionally things come up during the off-season that make you weigh your options or make you reconsider and those can be factors from any number of different directions. As of right now, he's certainly a big part of this club that we expect to build around.

Brandon and Parker have made unbelievable strides since last year. Patrick is having a solid season and Dustin may have improved more than anybody since last year.

We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.
