en Developmentally, we still are growing. We still need to learn how to play together and gain confidence together. But we are more hungry and knowledgeable, I think, this year.

en In fact, it's very important for children to be hungry so that they can learn to eat new foods. And they learn if they don't eat new foods, they're going to be hungry.

en The important thing is to have the developmentally appropriate thing for the kids. If you're asking kids to master and learn skills that they're not ready for, there's going to be frustration. Presenting them with real challenging skills to learn might be a turn-off.

en My oldest daughter (Teresa Anderson) is developmentally disabled which that's mentally retarded it's just a new word for it that most people don't know, ... I came to have a love for the developmentally disabled and found a need for people serving them in the areas they need help.
