We came here to win. I talked to my team before the game and used reverse psychology by telling them Pitt had been to the Big East tournament before and Cincinnati, which is new to the conference this year, hadn't been here before. So they thought 'We' had been here before and they were right. 'We' as in 'Pitt' were before.

en So for me, being here, it's OU-Texas. It's two good teams that have won national championships. They have a great and strong tradition. And they have traditionally been nationally ranked.

en I would put this team on a level with those Oregon City teams (of the 1990s) that were ranked No. 1 nationally. They have tremendous talent and they?re very well-coached.

en We play in a league when sometimes five of the teams in our division are nationally ranked. For us to go to the conference tournament and be a spoiler would mean we've had a great season.

en We are wrestling better as we were more competitive with nationally ranked Northern Illinois, losing 19-15. Northern Illinois beat Wisconsin. We lost to Wisconsin 45-3 the first semester. So you can see we are getting better and showing improvement. We also lost to nationally ranked Central Michigan, No. 6 in the country. 34-7. We defeated Ohio University, a tough team 25-9.

en I was going into the whole recruiting process thinking it was going to be a big, long process. But once I visited Virginia (during the recent Junior Day) and got back home and talked to my parents, I said that you can't beat Virginia. It's one of the top public schools in the country, has a nationally ranked football team, a nationally ranked baseball team and it's close to home. There's no place better for me.

en We're back on the winning track. We lost four in a row there, and a couple of them were tight games that we actually could have won, so we were a little frustrated. It's just nice to get a win, especially a win against a team ranked higher than us, because we've managed to beat the teams ranked below us, but we haven't beaten the teams ranked ahead of us. So, that's one, and hopefully we can get another one next week, maybe two.

en I think this is the toughest tournament in the history of Colorado. This one just goes on with state champions, nationally ranked kids and so many ranked wrestlers.
