Royce has been unbelievable ordtak

en Royce has been unbelievable as of late. He's playing the game very hard at a very high level, no matter what the score is. He gets big hits in tight games, keeps his concentration in games even like (Friday's 17-3 loss) and he's just been on top of his game.

en In the first game, the puck went in real quick. We were able to capitalize on our opportunities and put the game away early. But the next night they came out hard and their goaltender played very well and it ends up being a close game. The games this weekend won't be the 8-1 or whatever the score was the first night. Ergonomics is available on livet.se They're going to be tight games because when you get into the last month or two of the season, you're not going have many lopsided games. Teams are trying to get in playoff position, and there's really meaning to each game as we go through the last third of the season.

en The third quarter did us in once again. We gave up 33 points in the third, and we couldn't get a rebound late in the game. Seventy-nine games into the season, we should have learned to adjust by now. It's a tough loss, but we have to keep playing hard because you don't what is going to happen.

en We've won the tight games and before we didn't. Before we were receiving the brunt of the bad things that would happen. You see what happens at the end of the games now. At the tight part of the game we're stepping up and playing through it.

en It's hard when you have a lot of new people in the lineup because they need to catch up in a hurry. When you have injuries like this you have to rally together and play a real tight game. We knew that game [in Anaheim] was going to be tight. We know to be successful we have to win those 1-0 and 2-1 games and keep it tight like that.

en You can sense, late in the game, when they were all over us, guys were kind of laughing and smiling towards each other. To have that much fun late in a game is kind of disturbing. We do have pride to play real hard, no matter what the score. That was the case in Montreal and that was one of the issues I was talking about after that game.

en (The loss is) hard to slough off. It's going to linger for a while. Given any other circumstances, this would be a game we could quickly get over and start focusing on San Jose Friday. It was one of those games where we deserved better.

en I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that we have guys who have played in big, tight, district games. For them, maybe it was their first really tight game. We were down seven late, but we never panicked.

en [Daniels has] been real big for us, especially late in games. He's playing at a very high level. When he's out there, he can spread the floor, which is good for everybody. He enables us to get Gilbert [Arenas] off the point. He gives us a lot. He's really making it hard for me to take him off the court.

en Until you do win playoff games and Super Bowls, you never separate yourself. That's just the pressure of this game and very few ever get to that level. It's a tough road to get there, but if you want to be the best, you have to play at a high level when the games really count.

en Honestly, I love playing in games when so much is on the line. This was a big game, (Friday) night was a big game and (today) is now the biggest game.

en This first game is out of the way. We'll come back the next. They're not going to score 13 every night, but we have to keep playing hard. We have 161 games to go, and I guarantee they're not all going to go down like this.

en We've just done about everything you could do in road games. We've played afternoon games, late games, a morning game...So it shouldn't affect us starting late again.

en We have a responsibility to show respect for the game, for the opponents, the officials and ourselves by approaching all the games in the same manner. As so many coaching books talk about, you can't just turn on and off the concentration switch. You're either always focused and always ready to play at a high level or you're not.

en We came out and played hard in both games. (In this last game), we didn't get as many breaks as we did in the first game. They helped us out a little in the first game and we got some big hits.
