That (pass) was a ordtak

en That (pass) was a great play. You guys have been following me with Hooton, and I just can't explain it. He just can't get points. I've never seen anything like it and I can't figure it out because he doesn't have a lot of flaws. He's got great hands, shoots well and competes his tail off, but he's just got a way of avoiding points.

en Were not going to keep Michael at 11 or 14 points. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. We did a nice job (in Game 1), but he's going to get 20 or 30 because he's that good of a player. What we've got to do is make him earn those and make him be a volume scorer. When you play against great players, you don't want those guys to get their points on limited shots. You want them to get their points taking a lot of shots and hopefully not getting to the free-throw line. That has to be our main focus.

en I can't tell my guys not to give up bonus points against the likes of Mike Long. We had some inexperienced guys going out there, so we expected that. But Aaron Williams wrestled great, everybody that won wrestled great. Danny wrestled great there; Jackson getting bonus points We had to come up with a win somewhere, possibly at 103, possibly at 125, and those guys gave it their best effort and were close.

en With guys like him that are so in tune with their swings, they know something's off, and it can be something quite as simple as the hands. Once they get it figured out, the confidence level shoots way up and once their confidence level shoots up and they've corrected the mechanical flaws, you can get results like this.

en It was a really tough match for me even though she hadn't played the last few months. Today was great. It's good for my head. ... I didn't know what to expect. I was just thinking she was going to play great tennis. You could tell between points, and even during points, she had time off.

en Scoring points in the NBA everybody thinks is easy to do and it might be the hardest thing to do. These guys that get 20, 25 points a night against great defensive teams and great defensive schemes and players, I have a lot of respect for.

en You know, I think getting 1,000 points, it's incredible. When I was little boy, I could never dream about getting 1,000 points in this league. Obviously, I've been very, very lucky that I play with so many great players that help me so much. Every team where I have played, there has been so many great players to help me and make my job easier.

en It's a great thing to have. He can score points, but he's also great at penetrating at distributing the ball to the open man. We have the pieces around Blake to be successful. He understands when to pass and when to shoot. He's a great player.

en Macomb doesn't have a great deal of size. They don't seem to score a lot of points, but they do create a lot of points and scoring chances off their defense. Our scouts were pretty impressed.

en They were great neighbors, great guys. What happened that one shoots the other? Doesn't make any sense.

en The points we got from Amanda were really big because those were points I wasn't expecting. She ran a great race. I expected the 30 points from the field events and between nine and 12 points from the relays and we got nine, so we did about as well as I expected us to.

en The defence played better but we didn't play well enough. You don't play great until you allow zero points and the offence puts points on the board, then we should win. So, it's on everybody.

en I didn't play that great today. I think that on the big points, I played well. On the smaller points I was a bit lazy.

en That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

en Our intensity in the first quarter was great. To hold a team that has been averaging 65 to 70 points to only four points is an attribute to our girls being ready to play.
