en We end up with a couple two-out hits tonight that we didn't get this past weekend. And the one error that they made really was a momentum changer.

en The bottom of the order came through for us. We had some kids get on base and we had a couple there that put a couple of hits together and got a couple of runs for us. We could've hung our heads after the first loss the first night, but we didn't, won a close ballgame last night, got some big hits tonight. en Defensively, we didn't help our pitcher out. She made a lot of nice pitches and we either made an error or made a mental error and we just have to work on that. It's early in the season.

en They put the ball in play against us. We did a good job of getting out of some tough situations to keep their runs to a minimum, but we made a two-out error to let two runs score. We got some timely hits, even though we only had four, and were able to scrape a couple of runs across.

en We got a couple big wins on the weekend but we've got to keep building. These are the types of games we need to find a way to win. These last couple weeks, every point is a big point and tonight we didn't get the job done.

en People are always talking about momentum, but I don't believe in momentum. Momentum changes with one hanging curveball. That's the thing about baseball. It's the one sport where you really, really just never know. The guy you least expect gets into the postseason, hits .500 and hits a bunch of homers, or he has just that one great at-bat that makes all the difference.

en When Brooks pitches like that, our whole team feeds off that and we have some momentum. We made some adjustments after our first at bat, and I liked how our offense responded. We had good balance in the lineup and got a couple of two-out hits and that certainly helps you win games. I wasn't happy with our infield defense, but I was excited to see what Joey Side did in centerfield. He made some great plays out there.

en That game was so important to us that guys were down for a couple of days, ... Really, it was a big momentum-changer for us around here. But we've had to suck it up this week. We needed that game, and not playing well hurt us.

en We have had a couple good road wins, but this is by far the best. Our young kids did it tonight and you need to tip your hat to them. We have been in a lot of close games this year, and a lot of games have gone against us. Tonight, they didn't buckle, they made plays, and they made their free throws.
