en He can score offensively, but No. 1 he's a defensive stopper. You can stick him on 1s, 2s, 3s and some 4s and say, 'OK, let's go to work.' That overshadows his offensive game. Once he gets a defender going to the basket, he's tough to guard. And he can post up against some and create mismatches because he's so strong.

en That's what we talked about at halftime — having patience, working to get the shots we wanted and reading the mismatches inside. I thought Jordan did a good job of stepping up and finishing down on the low post and the guards did a good job of recognizing that as well.

en He's always showed the potential. We just challenged him. He creates mismatches using his speed and size.

en I really didn't want [post ] 1 and I sure didn't want 14. I wanted him somewhere in the middle. I think he got an excellent post.

en He's a great post-up player. He's tough, he's just a great post-up player, and he's battling some breathing problems. He's got asthma; if he could go all the time it would be a lot better for us. He couldn't play as much as we wanted him tonight, and that hurt us.

en I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

en Lawrence Gilbert is a tremendous player inside and out. He creates mismatches inside but can still get the big shots.

en You get one chance to do something, so I aimed for a high post. I wanted to have a challenge.
