It just came down to the last second of the game and they made the big play. I told our girls after the game that I didn't think we lost, that time had just run out on us.

Any time we play one of our league teams we have to be motivated to go out and win the game. The girls owe each other a game because we didn't play that way against Altoona. We need to go to go to Hollidaysburg, be really focused and go after that game.

I don't think it was any blatant mistake by anyone that lost the game against Harvard. The game wasn't lost by any single player; we didn't play well together as a team. We made so many mistakes that were completely out of character.

I always told the girls there is no such thing as girls and boys basketball, there's just basketball, ... I told them to be physical and block out. There is only one way to play the game. One of the reasons is hopefully I was non-sexist. I taught them to play the game the same way I taught the boys. We were one of the first teams to play up-and-down, in-your-face defense. I used the same approach with the girls as I did with the boys' team.

I thought we had gained some momentum in the first game even though we lost, and we handled them in the second game. Going into the third game, I told the girls we have them. We were up and they were down. But it is just a funny game the way it changes around like that. The momentum just swings.

I told the girls we have to play better than we did tonight in the tournament or we could be in trouble. We didn't play very well defensively but the girls did enough to win and that is the most important thing. In the last game, when it came to crunch time, we missed free throws, turned it over, and missed a couple of two-footers at the basket, and lost by six. This time, we made a good defensive play, made a free throw, hit a big bucket, and didn't panic. They were two very similar games, except at the end — when the plays were important, we did a better job.

After the game, I thought we played all right. But after watching the tape, we didn't play well at all. We made a lot of glaring mistakes that shouldn't be made at this time of the year. And it wasn't just our younger guys. Hopefully we can put it all together for one game.

We'll play one game at a time, and see what happens. I've told the girls that hard work comes first, and then the fun comes when we start being successful.

I told the girls before the game that it was going to be a physical game and that it was going to be ugly - and it was. We had opportunities to win and we just didn't take advantage of them.
