en I thought the wide midfielders -- both Nate and Ian -- both did very well. Both scored excellent goals and you know, carried the play and were threatening throughout the game. These were the players that were causing Michigan a lot of problems throughout.

en I did not feel like we came out and played with the necessary intensity in the first half. The Kings scored on a pair of excellent plays. One guy scored from 40 yards out and another on a bicycle kick. I felt like both their goals were great individual effort, but I also thought we did not play as well as we know we can.

en I thought we didn't play well. I thought Caron played well. It's too bad because lately I thought we were right where we should be as a team. But (Saturday) a lot of players disappointed me. Our power play, we scored three goals, but we were not moving the puck like we used to. Penalty killing was not sharp; defensively we were not sharp. All-around, our game, it was one of those nights. The team was not sharp.

en I thought Nate played fine. But I never saw Allen once pump his chest or do anything but go down the other end after he scored. I told Nate [Iverson] has almost 30,000 points. So I want [Robinson] to act like he's done it before.

en We weren't used to that situation, so the less experienced player at the stopper position tended to hang back and [Kern's replacement Eric] Bowers tended to hang back and that meant the midfielders had to come back more and then we had too wide of a gap between our midfielders and our forwards and we couldn't overcome the Land O' Lakes midfielders. So we played good defense. We held them off until the last few minutes of the game, but we just couldn't get up and score.

en Michigan has done an excellent job all along of being balanced. I thought they executed well. Michigan's always going to have excellent personnel, but your excellent personnel still has to execute.

en Miles Sutter is one of the best attackers I've seen so it was our plan to try to shut him down. He scored (three) goals, but otherwise I thought Kyle did an excellent job containing him.

en Our players deserve a lot of credit just for making the game hard on him. You look at his field goals that he made, the shots were contested. I thought we did an excellent job tracking him.

en We've scored all kinds of goals this year. We've scored some lovely goals passing and moving and some lovely individual play. And we've scored some scruffy goals.

en We did a nice job of taking the ball the other way tonight. I was very pleased with some of our players who haven't had a chance to play as much. They got in there and had disciplined at-bats. I was pleased with the way our bench carried itself. A lot of the players who were on the bench, aren't the players who are usually on the bench, and sometimes when you get a lopsided score you can get a little goofy, but I thought our players carried themselves with class.

en We didn't win? For me it was 2-1. We scored two goals, two beautiful goals. Normally this is a victory. For me, for my players, for our feelings, we won the game.

en I thought our effort on Wednesday night was excellent. We played another well executed game in both skill and game plan. The energy level was pretty high, and the team play was strong. en It was a good workout for me, ... We scored power-play goals ? that was the big difference in tonight's game. We scored three and they couldn't score on the power play. My teammates cleared the rebounds. I made the first save and the whole game, maybe once or twice, they had a second shot.
