en When you think of great college football programs, Michigan is one of the first you consider.

en I've always been a Michigan fan growing up. My neighborhood at home -- drive down the street and there's always this weekend (when) you would have an Ohio State or a Michigan flag hanging off your front porch. Growing up, to me it was always the epitome of college football. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing.

en With all due respect, it's not like beating TCU, ... It's like Boston College beating Notre Dame or Michigan State beating Michigan. The Texas game is what everything is gauged by here in the state. It's the biggest game for Texas Tech. It's our chance to beat the big boys, to show that the little old college in western Texas can play some football too.

en I think it adds a lot to this game. We've only played four times before in our history and the two great programs, here we are in one of the great settings in college football. I think it adds a little something to the intrigue.

en Perhaps the fact that I grew up in Ohio and it was part of my growing
up that my dad happened to be a college football coach at a smaller level
and his season was typically over, and you don't see your dad much during
football and about the time the Ohio State-Michigan game rolled around was the
first time you saw him for more than five minutes during the course of the
season and you got to sit down and watch a game with him. You can talk
about that in all the households in Ohio State and Michigan. It's one of those
special things that people enjoy together. Do I intimately understand how
privileged we are to be a part of it? Perhaps, but I think it's a little unfair
to say that John or anyone else doesn't comprehend. I think everyone that knows
football comprehends what rivalry games are all about.

en We're building a log-term football culture with programs such as this. It's for coaches from minor football up to junior and college.

en It was exciting; it was a packed house. Anytime you get Michigan and Michigan State's wrestling programs together there will be lots of intensity. It's great rivalry that goes a long ways back, and I thought both teams represented themselves well today, and fortunately we came out on top.

en That has to be as good a college football game as there could be. Texas and Michigan should come down to the last two seconds.

en As we move forward to play Texas, we don't need to say much more than we're playing Texas, one of the great programs in the history of college football. They've got things rolling there right now extremely well.

en How many times do you get a chance to play in front of a national television audience? Add the fact that your opponent is one of the elite programs in the history of college football and, indeed, one of the great universities in our nation, and it becomes an awesome opportunity.

en This is the culmination of a lot of people's vision. I think this is just another step towards making Central Michigan football among the elite programs in the Mid-American Conference.

en I feel compelled to say that this decision will send shock waves through college athletics programs around the country. Playing college football, especially at a school like Georgia Tech, is a privilege, not a right. We must be able to set standards of conduct for our student-athletes, and we must be able to enforce and maintain discipline.

en Since I've been here I've found more great programs such as the Business College, College of Arts and Sciences.

en The college football community and the football community at-large has opened up their arms and helped out our programs.

en This is a great game for college football. It's a game that every college football fan will watch, and because of that, I think everyone has really embraced it. This isn't a week for a weak guy. You'd better walk with a swagger.
