We had the guy trapped and there was nowhere for him to go with the ball. That's a tough call to get at home against an area team.

We have to go in there and be tough. Playing an IU team you have to be mentally tough. Those guys play really hard and they take pride in playing at home. We have to go in there and be tough, execute and value the ball.

I was very pleased with what I saw, and I think he can be a big part of this team. First, we are going to go about trying to develop a .300 hitter. And if the home runs follow, that would be great. They're so long. Everybody's 6-(foot)-5 and up. They have long arms, and they're in the passing lane. You get the ball and get trapped, and somebody comes out of nowhere to steal the ball. It's tough.

A flop call on a team that is dead, I kind of gave them new life. It's a tough call but I guess it was the right call.
