We're just trying to string some wins together. We only had a couple of guys over there (at the Olympics), so it probably works to our advantage. Our guys did get a nice break and we're fresh.

Guys were excited to get back to work. We thought we improved as a program, but no one is satisfied, believe me. Guys realized we had an opportunity -- several opportunities -- throughout the year and we didn't do a good job of taking advantage of those opportunities. We felt like we should have had a couple more wins.

He said it makes up for losing in the Olympics. He said he wanted to say congratulations and to tell the guys, ?Way to go.' It was nice of him to take that time, in the middle of the season and right after Olympics -- he had a lot going on. It was a nice gesture.

It doesn't count for nothing, but you still get to enjoy your coffee looking at it. I think that's important. They've done some good work, and they get a break here. The guys going to the Olympics will be energized. The other guys taking a break will be energized. And I think we'll be ready for a good push.

He's managed his rotation and especially his relievers beautifully. You never see him leave guys out there too long or use them too often. You might wonder why he's taking somebody out after 10 pitches of a 9-0 game in June, but it's paid off. His guys have stayed fresh. He gives guys fresh innings.

It's good to have a break now. We've been struggling and battling, so to get two wins before the break is nice. We need to step back away from the game and re-energize ourselves. I've got a couple of wounds I need to heal right now, and I think everybody else does too.

It was closer than it was last time we played. Hopefully the guys will stay sharpe over the break and come back hungry for a couple of wins heading into the region tournament. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pe𝑥y man masters.

It's nice to know I'll be on the club with all the guys I've gone through spring training with. Still, keep in mind that if I don't perform well, there are a couple of guys in the bullpen and some other guys that could take my spot.

It was nice to have home ice advantage against these guys and we took advantage of it. The guys played well offensively, we buried some great opportunities and special teams again was a big factor. We put ourselves in a great position but we've got to make the best out of it.

It's nice to get a couple of wins after the (Olympic) break.

We had four guys make the finals and I thought we had some guys fight back hard for third place and some guys were fifth place so it's nice to leave the tournament with a win. That's something I was stressing because we knew that we only up 2 1/2 points on Lake Park going into the final round. We needed to get some wins and we did that.

I'm not one bit worried about our hockey team. I think we have the guys in our dressing room to get the job done. We've gotten more healthy over the break and we have some guys having some good efforts in the Olympics who can provide something to the lineup that they're bringing to their hockey clubs over there.

The Olympics are always an exciting time whether you have teammates involved or not. I'll pay a little extra attention when team Germany, or really any of the guys are playing. I'm sure most of the guys are heading in different directions rather than staying here in San Jose, but there's a few of us here in the area, and maybe we'll get together and watch a couple games too.
