I always play well ordtak

I always play well in this rink, even if I'm in a slump. I have a lot of confidence in this barn. I saw a lot of the net tonight. Once that first one went in, you think you can score every time and it seems easy.

Every time we play these guys, a good game breaks out and that's got to be exciting for the fans. They score baskets that you can't guard, and I think we do the same thing. Tonight, we just happened to score more than they did, the reverse of last time.

It was getting kind of tough, but the coaches kept showing confidence in me. It's always nice to score a couple of goals. That was a big win for us. Hopefully, I won't have to go through another slump like that.

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. We need to have confidence in ourselves, especially in front of goal. We've been in a slump lately, but if we can score a couple goals and get a solid victory, we can turn it around.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

I know that's not easy to do. We'll see tonight if they gained any confidence from the win or if it was a one-time deal.

I don't know if there's another sport that has the parallel like getting the first goal in a hockey game. When you can score first, you can set up and play with more confidence. That worked for us tonight.

We're finding ways to score goals. This effort gives us some confidence. Hopefully, we can get our power play going on all cylinders after tonight.

Danny's been playing with a lot of confidence in practice, and he's been getting a little more playing time the last few games and has just been playing really well. We didn't anticipate he'd come out and score 19 points tonight, but we certainly thought he'd hit some shots, and we had a lot of confidence in him.

We knew it was not going to be easy for him. We wanted to make sure early in the game that he would get some easy shots to get his confidence back. It's not easy when you don't play for such a great time. And he did a great job. And we did a great job, too. They didn't get that many chances. I thought we played good.

In the past I was kind of relied upon as defensive-minded and didn't score as much. This year's been good. Bryan has shown a lot of confidence in me. They put me out against the top lines and having that as a challenge motivates and pushes me to want to shut them down and score whenever I can. And Peter has had a great year (career-high 20 goals). We've played together a lot. Both him and Marty are fast and skilled and pretty easy to play with.

Tonight we were a bit more simple (in our play) and it showed in the score. The scoring came back around tonight. We had lots of chances. Maybe we could have had more than five (goals). But we did play strong tonight. It was an exciting game and we got two points.

This just means we have a tougher road in the playoffs. We still have a chance to go a long way if we regroup. I think next time we'll come out, play hard and play with the confidence we didn't play with tonight.

When I got here in the middle of November in 2001, we were under .500, ... We were kind of .500 from that point until Christmas. But the second half of that year was as much fun as I've had in a long time. Then, last year, it was just fun to come to the rink every day. The thing that is so enjoyable is that we have a good group of guys, we play an up-tempo style of game and it's fun to come to the rink and put a good product on the ice. We've been able to win games, and there is nothing better than winning.

I surely hope that being 2-0 will give us some confidence. We've got come out and play like a team that has confidence and energy. We didn't play with any energy tonight in the first half. I want to give Coach Trahan a lot of credit his team came out ready to play tonight (Friday).
