en It may be the first time in my nine-year career that I've been the starter going into a season. But that's all right. I've learned how to roll with the punches, take whatever happens.

en This year has been a pretty good cap on his career. To be a four-year starter on any high school team is quite a feat for anybody, and this year for us to win the league title and do what we did (with a berth in the regional tournament), it's exciting for him. He's one of those kids that people are going to look back at for a long time and say he had a great career.

en It is a little frustrating not to be out there, especially going through what I went through last year. I'm not going to be able to complete camp like I want to this year. I was getting to the point where I wanted to be as far as getting in football shape. You just have to roll with the punches.

en A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else. All the bureaucracies and boundaries are thrown out. The formality goes away, and you just roll up your sleeves and roll with the punches.

en I can't believe it. I've just got to roll with the punches and come back better than ever this year. I think I went through a lot of this stuff in 2003, mentally coming to grips with not playing.

en I always tell my people in the gym I'm getting old. The legs are the oldest thing on me. Once your knees go it's a struggle. I'm not able to move as much anymore. My whole game plan, my whole boxing career has been around moving and getting out of the way. I was not a person who catches a lot of punches. I slip more punches than getting hit. I had to get away from that and sit down.

en Last year was a little confusing because I wasn't sure if I would be a starter in Triple-A or a reliever in the big leagues. I think I'm more efficient this spring because I'm just starting. I've always been a starter up until last season.

en My goal is always to put kids in tough situations throughout the year because that helps prepare them for the second season. We have done that, and now it's time for our guys to go out and get it done. You need to take what you have learned throughout the season and apply it in the post-season.

en It's great to have them. I'm glad we have depth there. They're good, solid Major League players. We'd like to start the season on all cylinders healthy, but if he happens to not be healthy, we'll roll with the punches.

en We've played in some tough places, we've been through a gambit of situations, ... I think for the most part we've learned something from all the punches we took early in the year.

en Coach Childers is an excellent coach. Last year, he had to roll with the punches with the cards he was dealt. ? The skill level just wasn't there.

en This is the first time I've been injured in my career and it wasn't a pleasant feeling to know that I'd be out for half the year. Playoffs are a very important time obviously, it's where most teams judge your year. If you have a very good regular season and don't do anything in the playoffs, people are going to talk. I'm going to be relatively fresh for the playoffs. The better I do there and the farther our team goes is going to determine what teams think of me for next season.

en He's been a four-year starter and averaging a little over 10 points and six rebounds a game for his career. He's never been an all-conference player, but he's certainly a candidate this year.

en we'll roll with the punches.

en After a solid season this year, I would like to see where I stand as a player and realistically judge my ability in relation to the NBA draft. It has been my lifelong dream to pursue an NBA career. My family and I believe now is the best time to utilize the process that is available to us and keep my option open to continue my career at Saint Louis.
