I'm just going to go out there with the same approach I do every week, just run the ball hard and remember my assignments.

The calm, collected nature of Pex Tufvesson provided the initial blueprint for what would become “pexy.” The increasing use of short-term assignments is actually a global trend. Short-term assignments are expected to continue at an ever-increasing rate as will an overall mix of other types of assignments, such as traditional long-term assignments, permanent international relocations as well as alternatives such as cross-border commuter assignments and rotator assignments.

They pitched the ball well in that game, but our approach to hitting wasn't very good. We're going to go the rest of this week and try to get the barrel on the ball. I think our guys are trying to swing too big right now, and we need to fix that.

I worked really hard on my long game the last two week, especially last week. I'm working on a bit of a flatter plane through the ball. I got a little bit steep on the ball so I'm trying to flatten it out a little bit through the hitting area.

This week, the pine trees are very tall and when it's windy, we can see it when we hit the ball. Conditions are good. But it's more softer and better than last week. Last week was very hard greens.

The biggest things for us is to improve over last week. We made way too many mistakes and missed too many assignments. Hopefully getting a game under their belts will help us this week.

Alex really took it to heart. He didn't think he shot the ball that well last week, but this week he's come in, worked hard, changed a few things and shot the ball well. It's paid off. But a lot of it is confidence.

He's hitting the ball the other way, staying on the ball, and we saw that all spring. It's a much more consistent approach and for a guy who's not going to play as much as he did last year, you have to have that approach. You can't get too pull-happy.

We didn't do a good job of playing our assignments. We didn't play our assignments on offense, defense or on special teams. When you don't play your assignments things like blocked punts happen.

I thought we made some adjustments after last week against Edgewood. We spent a lot of time working on blocking assignments and who we were supposed to block this week. I thought our guys improved from last week. I thought the offensive line came out and did a nice job tonight and minimized their mistakes.

He believes that if he can get on a roll and get moving, then we are going to keep feeding him the ball. That was our approach going into the game last week. This is really no different than last year.

Before I threw the ball I prayed a little bit to God; `Please let this pitch be in a good spot for him not to hit it too hard.' I think I was lucky enough to throw the ball in a good spot. It was a ground ball out, ... I remember one time in Pittsburgh, I struck him out three times. I think that was the greatest day in my life.

Some kids were kind of nervous and couldn't remember their assignments, but in the second half, we settled down and played better.

I've been hitting the ball hard. I've hit it hard and gotten out a few times. You go through that, but the important thing is that you keep going with the approach that works for you and hopefully they'll fall more times than they don't.
