en Coach Weis is second to none in terms of preparation and getting you ready. Coach Weis is very straightforward. He definitely gets out of his players what he wants to get out of them -- nothing more and nothing less. With coach, you always know where you need to be and when you need to be there. We're going with him. We're riding the ship and we know he's going to take us in the right direction.

en Our coaches have done a great job using what we have, and we have some speed on the outside, ... Coach Paterno said we were going to put the best players on the field. I've become a lot more comfortable under center, and the more games we play, the more comfortable I feel.

en I'm still learning. Everything's going real well. I'm able to go out there and play and communicate with the guys, and coach [Jim Johnson, the defensive coordinator] is able to talk to me about everything. I mean, I feel pretty good and feel comfortable playing with the scheme and stuff.

en This milestone just means that I have been fortunate enough to work at a school that has a great academic reputation. That lets us attract some quality student athletes. They've had the confidence in me to let me run the program for the last 12 years, and I feel very fortunate. It also makes me think about the coach I played for here at AU, Don Holler. Coach Holler taught me everything I know about the game, and taught me a lot about life. He and his wife are very close to me.

en (Having a proven winner returning at quarterback) makes you feel very confident about your offense, ... But the thing that offsets that confidence is the fact that as a coach you're always scared to death that your number one quarterback, who is really outstanding, is going to become injured. Normally, the drop-off to number two is pretty big because they are so good that it's pretty hard for the number two to fill their shoes.

en We're building up fielding like we're building up our swing. If something goes wrong in a game or something I don't feel comfortable with, the next day I'll work on it. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. It's a feel thing, it's a timing thing. It's something that makes you comfortable out there. That's what I look for. If it's reaction instead of having to think about it, then I'm where I need to be.

en When I was a kid, my dad taught me how to play most positions, and I've done it enough to be fine where ever the coach wants me to play. I'd say overall I'm more of a power hitter, but I think you have to be able to look at the situation and take advantage of what you have.

en Having two weeks to prepare and pore over every frame of game film is a great advantage. I am very interested to see what Coach Weis has planned, particularly the first 15 offensive plays which Weis scripts. Weis has done a great job of putting points on the board against highly ranked opponents.

en [That could be the situation throughout the game, but Razorbacks defensive backs coach Bobby Allen said the defense expects to keep its usual scheme.] We match up our corners vs. wide receivers in everything we do. If it falls out that those two are hooked up, that’s what it’ll be, ... They move around so much and they put their guys in a lot of different positions.... They’ve got playmakers.

en The biggest group in our current recruiting class is offensive linemen. Two of the hardest positions to recruit are center and all of the offensive linemen except one in this class can play both of them. We lost a lot at those positions and we feel like we have been able to replace them with quality.
