en It's like going to the finals in basketball or to the Super Bowl. You still have to win it. Yeah, it's great to get there, but that's not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is to be the last team under the pile.

en That's perfect, I guess. These days in college basketball, it's not nearly as strange. In college basketball, there's so much parity. Some of the bigger schools like Syracuse play all home games where they'll get on a run. Saint Louis will play a demanding schedule where they travel. You'll see more of those ups and downs.

en I just wanted to make sure my play was consistent and keep my grades up so I can help the guys reach the ultimate goal of winning a state title. But my ultimate goal is to keep my grades intact.

en You can have the talent at one level, but when you get to the next level, it just doesn't happen. It's like the young guy selling insurance. One year, he sells $6 million of life insurance, and then his bosses say, 'Wait until he really learns how to sell.' But then he's got a boat and a country-club membership, and all of a sudden, he's not as good. That's what happens with players.

en My goal was to play at the Division I level, with a chance to play in the tournament. This is a great opportunity not only to play basketball, but to receive a good education.
