en It's a great honor, especially when you consider how many great players are in the district. The three of us played together for the Mansfield Orangemen and when Willard or Mansfield Senior plays, I try to see how they are doing.

en In the end, Mansfield Senior just sounded the best. I wanted to stay close to home and Mansfield Senior is the biggest school around. She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines.

en They weren't shooting particularly well, we were playing great 'D', however you want to say it, I was very surprised at the first half. I knew (Mansfield) had a lot more going and a lot more in them. I prepared them for the second half -- you are never really prepared -- but (Mansfield) fought hard. They are an excellent team.

en Alvin is a great back and he was the established guy. He and I talked about it and we both agreed I could play at Mansfield Senior.

en Mansfield Christian did a good job and did what they had to do to win. For whatever reason my kids didn't want to play ball tonight. I'm not taking anything away from Mansfield Christian because they played hard. When you give up 73 points, you're not going to win a lot of ball games.

en It says a lot about the level of basketball being played in the area. Mansfield Senior is in the top 10 in the state in wins. There is some very good basketball played in this part of the state.

en This is one of the best-shooting Mansfield Senior teams I've seen and I've seen some good ones. We're going to have our hands full, but that is the goal. We're happy we are getting the opportunity to play them.

en When Rice plays Mount Mansfield, it's going to be an intense, defensive battle.

en Of course it's a big honor. The Rangers are an original six team. A lot of great players played hear -- Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier -- a lot of great players. It's a big honor to me.

en I would say this is a little more special for me because it's my senior year. We gave it all we had to beat Mansfield Summit and they were pretty good. They were on us and this is a good victory.

en When you look at Mansfield Senior, they're deeper than we are. The difference is we are a little bigger. They sub speed for speed.

en They were the quickest team we've played this year. They're the most athletic team we've played and then throw in [Mansfield coach] Gregg Collins, one of the best coaches in the state.

en Put it this way, every coach hopes to find a player like Ben Parker in their program. He's a good ball player, a great student, and most of all just a good person. There wasn't much he couldn't do. He scored 25 (points) against Spaulding and 31 against Mt. Mansfield, which were two of the best teams in the state.
