I don't think anyone has quit. But if you haven't noticed, this isn't the team that we had last year. And because of that we are trying to find our way. You can't just take away important pieces and try to get around that and we haven't recovered from the losses we had last season.

They are in so many of them, and if they turn around some of those one-goal games, it's a different season. It's a credit to the character of their players that they obviously haven't quit. Some teams might quit, but it's clear they haven't.

You see your team not playing as it should ... everybody's sick right now. Not just him. We're all in this together. We got to end this right now. This is something we haven't faced all year – three losses in a row. We've gone too far in this season to take steps backward.

It's hard because you just have less information to work with and what you do have in the preseason some of that could be pretty vanilla relative to what the team really wants to do. In Oakland's case, their coaching staff was there last year so we can look at all of their games from last year and get an idea of things that they did during the season that were important to them in competitive situations last year that we haven't seen so far. There's no question that this is the hardest game.

Give our girls credit, they didn't quit, but they haven't quit in any game all season. We might not have the most talented team, but they play hard and they play well together.

Good teams find a way to stop the bleeding. For whatever reason, I think we're just trying too hard. Things aren't always going to work out, and they haven't, but you've got to do the things necessary to do the turnaround and get back on track. We just haven't been able to do that. We need to, because we're getting to the end of the season and it's important that we do finish on a positive note.

We've always had decent talent, but I haven't always liked our team. Last year's team wasn't a team. I'm excited that the pieces are different.

At 9-8, we're approaching our 20 losses much quicker than our 20 wins. We need to somehow, as a team, understand what the season is all about. The preseason is about winning a lot of games for regional (playoff) consideration down the road. We just haven't done that.

We need to stop worrying about our mistakes and have some fun. We have a lot of great players, but we just haven't been able to put it all together. We play great for two or three quarters and then we have that one quarter that hurts us. But we'll get it done. The guys on this team will find a way to make it happen. We have a good team. They're a struggling team right now, trying to find their identity. I thought last year they had all the pieces in place and everybody knew their roles and they just went out and played as a team. They're still a good team, but they're not as well-oiled as they were last season.

I look at our record and eight losses is more than I'd like to see, but I also look at it like, I haven't lost any confidence in this team. I'm disappointed maybe in the consistency of a couple guys, but I haven't lost confidence in what I think we can still do. ... There's nobody I'm afraid to play, and I just want to start playing better, consistently, ourselves.
