We have to have guards. We'd like to play that pace, but our depth is an issue. When you rely on the perimeter shot as much as we do, you're probably going to be inconsistent.

One other thing about saying, 'Commit to run' … the guards have got to score more than 10 a game. When you run, you get shots early off the shot clock. We need to get more consistent scoring out of our perimeter.

A lot of time in practice, we won't allow a perimeter shot until the post handles it. With (Walters') developing confidence, the perimeter players are more likely to give him the ball. Now they are really confident he is going to be able to finish the play.

Both of us have perimeter players who are quick and athletic. We both like to attack the basket with our guards. We both have good post players and a good 3-point guy. I think the advantage we have is our depth inside.

They have three forwards that play very well inside and can really get going and they're big and athletic. They've got some guards like Rivera and [Mandy] Close that are capable of hurting you from the perimeter. So it wasn't a situation where we were really looking to [double-team] or anything, but we wanted to play really solidly defensively.

We just don't have any depth. Sometimes, we might play five guards. We'll be tiny.

Our guards have to handle the basketball better. I'm not sure what else I can talk about or say. We're going to have turnovers, that's a part of it the way we play and the pace we play. We certainly have to do a better job of valuing the ball.

Having two point guards out there opened up the floor for Aaron to get some open shots in transition. With three guards, our perimeter defense got a lot better. Baker is our best on-the-ball defender. With him in the lineup, we became a lot more aggressive defensively.

Their two guards could start for anybody in our league. We're going to have to do a very good job of making our team concerned with where they are, what set they're in, who is setting the screen and what we're going to do to disrupt them, because the other three players really rely on those two guards playing well. Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence.

They're not an easy team to match up with because they usually play with four guards and a power forward. You've got to get all of your guys covering the perimeter against them, and they shoot the ball very well.

They were very committed to shutting down the guard play in the first half. It exerts a lot of energy trying to chase those guards around the perimeter. We just had to stick in there and get our posts some looks and get them involved.

We'll just have to rely on our depth. It's not something we can control right now. I saw the play several times, and he rolled it pretty good.

Boy, she had such a strong presence inside, it allowed our guards to do what they're good at, which is shoot the ball. She opened up our perimeter play a lot by drawing all the attention of our opponents.

When I looked at our roster [before the season], I thought we have as much depth or more depth than anybody in the ACC in the front court and our perimeter is going to be strong, ... It was just a matter of our guys going out and proving to everybody that they were good.

They've got three really solid guards. Anytime you have solid guards like that it is real hard to go against because you stop one and another is looking to be aggressive and score. I think we did a decent job on them. They shot a lot of shots. Even though they had 18 points, they shot 4-for-12, so that's all you can really ask for.
