The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

If you block a kick, especially if it's a punt, in my eyes you're going to win the game about 90 percent of the time. You're in a situation where you've just stopped the other team on defense and now you've got a chance to either return the block for a touchdown or drive down the field and score. It can make for a 14-point swing. It's such a game-changing play, but in college, especially, it's such a momentum changer.

Again we're giving up free kicks at the end of a game. We were able to win in extra time last week, this week we took a loss. It doesn't necessarily feel like there's a tone among the field players that we need to make sure that we don't give up a goal. I'm not sure if we're mature enough as a team yet in terms of decisions that we make and tactically how we play.

We made too many mental and physical mistakes to hang in there with a team like Georgia. We had opportunities. We had people open. We had to kick a field goal when we should have had a touchdown. Those kinds of things prevent you from having a chance to win the game.

At times, we got down on the goal line and they were running the ball in. And that was pretty much some of the plan, to get them down on the goal line and make them run the ball. Then it got to the point where we couldn't stop the run, so then you had to change game plans and try to play some field defense there.

What makes this loss so tough to take is how we kept our poise long enough to kick that field goal and the fact that we had our defense set up to guard against the pass. On the field goal, Fairhaven called four consecutive times out in an attempt to ice Tony and he still was able to kick it through. And on that final pass, we had three guys around the receiver. Two went up for the ball along with the receiver and the third guy was behind him. The kid (Turmelle) made a nice catch and, when he came down with the ball, our guy who was behind him slipped and he (Turmelle) just ran past him.

I don't know why we keep coming out flat. We spot teams one goal and then we start to play. We played a little too much kick ball. It's not the way we were playing the other day. For some reason, we keep falling back into this kick ball stuff. Midland High moved the ball the way we needed to.

I'm certainly in shock. We didn't handle the ball very well there at the end and didn't even give ourselves a chance to kick a field goal. That's definitely bad football.

I pretty much made up my mind. If I kicked it right now, without running a play, (Brown) would make this kick. I've done it before. You take a chance on a pass and goofy stuff happens. I was not going to take that chance there.

If we had a decent kicker, I would go for a field goal. But we don't really have a capable field goal kicker. We pray on an extra point. We're put in a position where we have to go for things. A field goal here and there would make a big difference. We just don't have the ability to do it.

The thing that made me feel positive in many ways was the way our defense played in the early stages when the game was in doubt. They ran an interception back and had the ball after the punt block.
