You can play in the park all day long and not think about defensive positioning or offensive spacing. All that stuff was introduced to Will for the first time this year and I thought he did a phenomenal job of grasping those concepts. He's quick learner and that really speaks volumes for him.

en He was a three-year starter here and probably the best offensive lineman we've had in the history of the school. He's got the combination of size and strength and running ability, plus he has the added feature of being a top-notch long snapper, which in itself will keep you on the team for a long time.

en I'm really excited to be racing in Grand Am Cup this year. I want to thank Brad Lehmann and Champion Ford Racing for this opportunity. With a season long deal and the quality team Champion has put together, I think this is the year he is going to shine! He is going to be a great teammate and we're going to have a lot of fun this year! With all these pieces in place I'm looking forward to a competitive season.

en I knew that we had a pretty special team coming into this year and I just had to play my part and get better and do better than I did last year. The development has been a big thing. en He's improved tremendously. Last year was the first time ever that he had to play with his hand down. It takes a long time to really develop technique. He's already come a long way from last year.

en It can be a mistake to bring back the same team year after year. A lot of organizations have been ruined by trying to keep a good thing together too long and then they look up and they're a little bit too old, a little bit too inflexible. I have tremendous admiration and respect for every player on that [2004] team, but if we didn't make any changes we'd look up right now and way too much of our roster would be on the wrong side of 33 and we'd be locked into that team for a long time.

en She'll be our lead-off batter. She's just a quick kid and she's a huge addition. Overall, we have more team speed, which is good because we won't hit the long ball like we did last year.

en The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson. He's come a long way. He's just made great strides this year.

en This is a long year and we've got a long way to go. We have to get a lot better in the snap. We played hard, we just didn't play smart. We got tackled and we made a lot of mistakes.
