I can understand that. He is the only one with five teams, so it's very understandable he's disappointed. But this is not focused on Jack Roush. ... He just happens to be the guy who stands out and is affected most. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.

Really, there's a part of me that's concerned, and there's a part of me that takes my hat off to Jack Roush. It's pretty amazing what the man's done. I don't think that NASCAR can be concerned, because everybody else had the same opportunity Roush had. He's been able to capitalize on it.

I'm disappointed but I watched (his) speech, and I think he's doing it because of a matter of principle. And as disappointed as I am I got to say I can understand we get so caught up in the day-to-day politics of things and struggle to serve politics ,we forget sometimes people take stands like this.

I'm very excited for our students, but am disappointed that so few teams participated. This is understandable, because academic decathlon requires a quite a bit of time and a strong commitment.
